PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
ABOUT THIS POLICY
Metapix (also identified on this website as Meta Pixel Solutions) respects the privacy of visitors to metapix.us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or contact us, how we use that information, and the choices available to you.
This Policy applies to the Metapix website. Client websites that we develop or manage may have separate privacy policies and practices.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you choose to provide. If you email us, arrange a consultation, or otherwise contact us, we may receive your name, business name, email address, phone number, and the details of your inquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive personal, medical, financial, or account credentials through ordinary email or inquiry channels.
Website and device information. Our website and its service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring website, pages viewed, dates and times of visits, and interactions with the site. Web servers may also maintain logs for security, operation, and troubleshooting.
Advertising measurement information. When applicable Google Ads tags are active, Google may process advertising click identifiers (such as GCLID), cookie identifiers, page and referrer information, and specified on-site conversion events. This helps us understand whether an advertisement led to an inquiry or another measured action.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- Respond to inquiries and arrange consultations or other requested communications.
- Provide information about our design, website, and marketing services.
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.
- Understand traffic and content performance with Google Analytics 4.
- Measure the effectiveness of Google Ads campaigns using conversion tracking.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.
We do not add people who merely visit the website or submit an inquiry to unsolicited promotional email or text-message lists. Separate permission would be required for any marketing subscription.
COOKIES AND GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies needed for basic operation, security, or visitor preferences. We also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to generate statistics about website visits and engagement.
GA4 may use first-party cookies, including identifiers such as _ga, and may process browser, device, and site-interaction information. Google provides the analytics service and may receive technical information when its tools load. GA4 does not require us to identify an individual visitor by name to understand website usage.
More information is available in Google’s Analytics data-safeguards explanation and Google’s Privacy Policy.
GOOGLE ADS CONVERSION TRACKING
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the results of our own advertising where our tracking tags are installed. When enabled, Google tags and conversion-linking technologies may set or read cookies (for example, _gcl_*) and receive information about an ad click and a subsequent measured action, such as a consultation request or another event we designate as a conversion.
Conversion tracking is used to evaluate and improve advertising performance. We do not use Google Ads remarketing, personalised remarketing audiences, or Meta Pixel on this website. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, message contents, or other directly identifying contact-form information to GA4 or ordinary Google Ads conversion tags. Enhanced conversions or customer-list uploads are not included in this description and would require a further policy review if introduced.
Google may use information received through its services in accordance with its terms and privacy practices. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
SHARING AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
We do not sell or rent the personal information you submit to us, and we do not distribute inquiry messages or our analytics reports to unrelated businesses for their independent marketing. We do not use data collected on this website to build remarketing audiences.
Information may nevertheless be processed by third-party providers as necessary to operate the website and services you choose to use. These can include website hosting and security providers, email systems, Google (Analytics and Ads measurement), and appointment-booking services. We may disclose information when legally required or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights and systems.
The website also displays or links to external services. For example, our homepage includes a third-party Instagram feed, and our contact page links to Microsoft Bookings for appointments. Loading embedded content or following an external link may transmit technical information to that provider; any information you enter on its website is subject to that provider’s practices. We do not control third-party privacy policies.
WHY WE DO NOT DISPLAY A COOKIE-CONSENT POPUP
Metapix is a California-based business website that uses ordinary site functionality, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads conversion measurement rather than remarketing or Meta Pixel. A cookie-consent popup is not automatically required for every California-focused website using these tools. We therefore do not currently display a general cookie-consent popup.
This explanation is not a claim that analytics or advertising-measurement cookies are strictly necessary. Additional consent or opt-out controls may be required depending on applicable laws, visitors’ locations, and changes to our use of technology. We review those obligations as our practices change.
YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND REQUESTS
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect some website features or measurement accuracy. You may also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and manage advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center.
Older browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals do not, by themselves, change how this website’s analytics or conversion tracking operates. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other legally recognized opt-out mechanisms are distinct from DNT; where an applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out signal, we will comply with that requirement.
You may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have provided. We will consider and respond to requests as required by applicable law and may need to verify a requester’s identity. Not every privacy-law right applies to every business or transaction.
RETENTION AND SECURITY
We keep communications and related business records only as long as reasonably needed to respond to requests, manage business relationships, maintain records, protect our systems, or meet legal obligations. Google Analytics and Google Ads information is subject to settings and retention periods in the applicable services.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small-business website. No transmission or electronic storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure.
CHILDREN AND EXTERNAL WEBSITES
This website is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Those sites may collect information under their own terms and privacy policies.
UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We may revise this Privacy Policy when our website, services, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
