Great work, Palace Cafe Catering, on producing all features of this amazing corporate event carnival – food (of course!), beverages, entertainment, DJ, rides, games, and everything for fun. And thank you for hiring us to take the photos.

Who’s seen such a mix of shoes on a red carpet? Ever! This is the perfect photo to represent what a kooky and friendly party this was.
I had a fun evening shooting at the Real Housewives of Los Lomitas event, a fundraiser for the Las Lomitas Education Foundation. I’ve never shot an event like this with so many nice people.
The album is on our portfolio on Smugmug.
Plus, I got to play with the starburst filter my brother bought me:
Our client, Halo Blow Dry Bar, has started using these one-time-use, biodegradable towels. They feel really amazing and soak up water better than regular towels.
Thank you, Tri-State Enterprises, Inc. for hiring us to make another homeowners association website. We use the same template for each of these site, which has a small, simple public section, and a large functional, password-protected, area for HOA members. Within the members section, residents can manage their property, communicate with management and other residents, and interact with a property calendar.
Thank you to Susan Graf and her fabulous team for hosting two successful photo shoots – one in Healdsburg, one in Palo Alto. Their hard work in preparing the boutiques made the projects look great. And their personalities made it a really fun time for me.
One highlight for me was twilight in the Healdsburg Plaza as I took shots of the store windows growing brighter as the daylight faded. I discovered if you ever wish to chat with strangers, set up a tripod, stare intently at a subject, and start taking photos. So many people approached to ask me what I was doing. Some offered tips. Several also had curious dogs.
If you are ever in Palo Alto or Healdsburg on the plaza, don’t miss Susan Graf Limited – the clothing is fabulous – men’s and women’s. Check back soon as she’s got a new web site under development. Below is one of the graphics we’ve pulled together for the men’s department. And here’s some of my favorite shots from the Healdsburg location…
We enjoyed a trip to South San Francisco last week to photograph a property for our home-owners association management client, Tri-State Enterprises. Some of the apartments had this view, which even in the rain, looked amazing.
These photos will be used on a new website, currently in production. Thank you Tri-State!
One of the highlights of this property is the fabulous succulent garden:
We are pleased to support the Montalvo Arts Center by donating graphic design and printing costs to the Montalvo Service Group. It’s the most local to us of the non-profits we support. Each time we visit, we feel good knowing we’ve contributed to the preservation of this beautiful villa and grounds.
This year, we’ve produced two designs for the mothers’ day brunch fundraising event. Wonder which they will choose?
If you would like to treat your mum to brunch next May, keep an eye on their website.
(2025 review – Rachel’s grateful for her two decades of Photoshopping before AI. There’s no need for HI [human intelligence] for a project like this anymore.)
Love it when I get to play in Photoshop and make something that works for a client. These custom bracelets by Gleim the Jeweler are perfect for the event invitation “engraving.” So pretty as header for an e-mail campaign and for a home page slide.

The Hayes Valley, San Francisco location of Hayes Valley Medical is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful facility, made even better by the artwork of Elizabeth Gorek. We’ve been working with them on print and online marketing. These shots have been posted to their web site.
What could be more fun than working with Halo Blow Dry Bars and HPD Public Relations? We now have a library of unique photos our client will have on hand for use in print or online marketing.
